Typing Adventure

Privacy Policy

Short version: we collect nothing. There are no accounts, no ads, no tracking, no cookies, and no analytics. Everything you do stays on your own device.

What we collect

Nothing. Typing Adventure has no server that receives your data. There is no sign-up, no login, no email address, no name, and no payment. We do not run advertising, analytics, tracking pixels, social widgets, or third-party scripts of any kind.

We cannot see your typing speed, your lesson progress, your mistakes, or anything you type into the practice box — including text you paste into "Practice Your Own Text". None of it is transmitted anywhere.

What is stored on your device

So that your progress survives closing the tab, the site saves a small amount of information in your browser's local storage. This is a standard browser feature and is not a cookie — it is never sent to us or to anyone else. It contains:

This data never leaves your browser. We have no way of reading it.

How to delete it

You are always in control:

Either removes everything permanently and immediately. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing left for you to request from us and nothing for us to delete on our side.

Children's privacy

Typing Adventure is designed for children as well as adults, and it is built so that a child cannot disclose personal information through it. There is no account to create, no profile to fill in, no chat, no comments, no uploads, no messaging between users, and no way to publish anything publicly.

Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we do not knowingly or unknowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). No parental consent mechanism is needed, because there is no collection to consent to.

The optional name used on the printable certificate is typed by the user, stored only in their own browser, never transmitted, and can be left blank or changed at any time. We suggest a first name or nickname is plenty.

Cookies

We do not use cookies. We do not show a cookie banner because we have nothing to ask consent for.

Third parties

The site loads no external scripts, fonts, stylesheets, images, or frames from other domains. Nothing about your visit is shared with any third party, because no third party is involved.

The app is a static website. Whoever hosts it may keep standard server access logs (such as IP address, browser type and page requested) as part of normal web-server operation and security. We do not use those logs to build profiles or track individuals across sites.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. Those rights are satisfied here by design: we hold no personal data about you, and the only data that exists is already in your own hands, on your own device, deletable by you at any moment.

Speech and audio

The optional spoken finger guidance uses your browser's built-in speech feature to read text out loud. It is off by default. Nothing is recorded, and the site never requests microphone or camera access.

If this ever changes

If a future version adds optional accounts or progress syncing, this page will be updated before that feature ships, and any such feature will be clearly optional and explained at the point where you choose to use it. The current version does none of this.
